Pond Fish
If you have a pond on your property, or are planning to install one, you may also be considering adding aquatic plants and Koi Fish. This is now becoming a very popular trend and for some obvious reasons. Adding fish to a pond is one of the best ways to add color and ‘life’ to the landscaping. In fact, these ponds become a major interest point and your guests are sure to be intrigued by the colorful fish swimming around in the pond in your garden or yard.

Types of Fish We Stock
Over the years, we have also catered to a large number of customers in and around Stroudsburg, The Poconos, Somerville, East Stroudsburg and Hackettstown. There are a number of different fish we stock such as:
Goldfish
- These are a very popular choice with most of our residential customers. If you have shubumkins in your pond, goldfish become the perfect addition. The latter are passive creatures and grow well in community settings. shubumkins are essentially larger goldfish; so if you are buying any more, it’s best to stick to smaller species.KOI
- The interesting fact to note here is that, goldfish as well as Koi are from the carp family; If you have shubumkins, you can safely add Koi fish to your pond. These are also community dwellers and both these species eat very similar foods and this makes your maintenance job easier.Catfish
- This species is passive in nature and they can happily cohabit with Koi and shubumkins. Catfish are essentially active swimmers and will share the pond very peacefully with the other fish in your pond.Snails and tadpoles
- If you want much more than just fish in your garden pond, tadpoles and snails are a good choice. They aren’t at all aggressive and they clean all the excessive debris & food from the water. They tend to occupy areas that are less frequented by the larger shubumkins.
We carry a complete line of healthy goldfish, catfish, shubumkins as well as Koi. You can also get the best tadpoles and snails from us. If you aren’t too sure about which type of pond fish to buy, all you have to do is speak with the experts at RC Sons Garden Center.
